2008 CNU Vince Brown Invite

The Generals headed across the state to compete in the 2008 Vince Brown Invite at CNU.  Over twenty teams were at the meet and 9 Top-Five performances highlighted the day for W&L.

The women were led by sophomore Dorothy Todd, as she was the 2nd D3 finisher in the mile running 5:26.19.  Todd then came back to be the 1st D3 runner to cross the line in the 800m with a time of 2:28.69.  Junior Stacy Doornbos was 2nd in her first 400m race of the year with a time of 60.92.  She also placed 4th D3 in the 55m in 7.66.  Freshmen Summer Lollie ran a strong 200m race running 27.20 and she also had a Triple Jump of 34-0.  Junior Grace Andrews also finished 3rd D3 in the 20lb Weight Throw with a mark of 40'4.25"

The milers led the way for the men as junior Michael Welsh (4:33.31) and sophomore Alex Jackson (4:34.44) finished 4th and 5th D3 in the Mile.  Freshmen Jeff Giordano ran a PR in the 55m crossing the line in 6.67 while junior Sean Hurdis ran the 55m in 6.88 and ran a PR in the 200m in 23.76
