CROSS COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIPS

 
The Generals Swept The Men's & Women's Titles For The Third Year In A Row!!!

For the first time in school history the men won their third straight title with 42 points (30 points ahead of the 2nd place team).  The Generals had four runners earn All-ODAC honors by placing among the top 14 finishers.  A strong top 5 pack separated by only 90-seconds was led by sophomore Michael Welsh with a 3rd place finish, classmate Vance Berry crossed the line in 5th with junior Tom Brower finishing 7th.  Junior Andrew Friski was 12th and freshmen James Wolf brought home a 15th place finish.  Freshmen classmates Ben Stutts (23rd) and Elliottt O'Brien (26th) rounded out the generals top 7.  Bringing home additional hardware was Tom Brower who was named ODAC Scholar-Athlete-Of-The-Year.

The women won their third straight championship with 32 team points (winning by 34 points over the 2nd place team).  The lady Generals had 7 runners earn All-ODAC honors.  Sophomore Jackie Burns led the Generals charge winning the individual title for the second straight year setting a course record.  Freshmen Kat Telfeyan placed 2nd overall, sophomore Becca Taylor crossed the line 8th, freshmen Dorothy Todd was 10th, senior Jenny Ratzel came in 11th and freshmen Mary Frances Weatherly was 13th  and Lizz Krausnick finished 14th to round out the All-Conference honorees for the generals.
The women swept every award with Jackie Burns earning Runner-Of-The-Year.  Kat Telfeyan was named Rookie-Of-The-Year, Becca Taylor was named Scholar-Athlete-Of-The-Year and Coach Kris Hoey earned Coach-Of-The Year honors.
