2007 NCAA South/Southeast Regional Championships

The Generals Strong At the 2007 NCAA Regional Championships. A Total Of 3 National Qualifiers and 7 All-Region Performanced Highlighted The Day. The Women Placed 3rd out of 28 Schools And The Men Placed 4th Out Of 21 Teams.
In the women's race four All-Region performances led the way for W&L as they placed 3rd as a team. Sophomore Kat Telfeyan (23:32) and junior Becca Taylor (23:33) placed 9th and 10th out of 186 runners respectively to earn automatic bids to the NCAA National Championship race and to earn All-Region honors. Junior Elizabeth Webb crossed the line 14th (one spot shy of an automatic bid to nationals) running 24:03 also earning All-Region honors. Freshmen Christine Balistreri was all region with her 33rd place performance running 24:54. Sophomore Dorothy Toddd was 38th finishing in 25:10. Freshmen Katherine Fenwick was 57th (25:50) and junior Lizz Krausnick was 62nd (26:05) to round out W&L's runners.
The men's race saw three All-Region performances led by junior Michael Welsh who placed 5th running 26:09 and earning an automic bid to the NCAA National Championship race. Classmate Vance Berry crossed the line 16th running a time of 26:43 earning All-Region honors. Senior Tom Brower was 18th with a time of 26:52 also bringing home All-Region honors. Junior Anthony Ives placed 51st for the Generals with a time of 28:01. Senior Andrew Friski was 56th running 28:03. Junior Alex Jackson (28:08) placed 60th and sophomore Ben Stutts (28:55) was 78th to round out W&L's performances.
