2005: Friski earned his second letter for the Generals, competing in all seven races. He placed 12th at the Virginia DII/III State Meet and ODAC Championship to earn All-State and All-ODAC honors. He set a new 8000m personal best at the NCAA South/Southeast Regional Championship (27:13.2).
2004: One of two native Lexingtonians for the Generals, Friski started a successful year by a sixth placing finish in his collegiate debut at the Washington and Lee Invitational. His eleventh place finish at the Virginia II-III State Meet earned him All-State accolades. His best race arguably came at the ODAC Championship at Harrisonburg, VA where his ninth place finish helped the Generals secure the ODAC title.

Prep: Ran five years of cross-country for Rockbridge County, captaining the Wildcats to second place in the Virginia AA Championship his senior year. Friski earned All-District, All-Region, and All-State accolades, capped off by a seventh place finish at the AA State Meet in 2003. His prep PR at 5000m is 16:29 at the 2003 Valley District Meet.
TRACK
Outdoor 2006: Did not compete.
Indoor: Did not compete.
Outdoor 2005: Friski’s best race came at the Roanoke Invitational where he ran a season-best 4:22.94 in the 1500m. He was named an ODAC-Scholar Athlete for his scholastic achievement during his first year.
Indoor 2005: Friski focused on the middle distances in his first collegiate season, competing at ODACs in the 1500m.

Prep: Ran three years of indoor and outdoor track at Rockbridge County. At the Virginia AA Indoor Championships, he placed eighth in 2002 and seventh in 2003 at 3200m.
Other: Social Chair of FIJI and the most knowledgeable tour guide around. He’s also a Lexington Fashion Icon. Birthday is May 30, 1986. Parents are Mike and Susan Friski.
