Battleground Relays

The Generals traveled to compete with 22 other teams at the Battleground relays in Fredericksburg Virginia.  Five first place finishes, eight top-3 finishes and two school records highlighted the weekend!

The meet kicked off on Friday with Nathan Johnson (8:55.44) and Lindsay Erickson (10:49.85) both winning the 3,000m.  The two were also members of the winning Distance Medley Relays.  For the women Erickson was joined by Blair Haws, Kim Gunst and Mary Christopher for the victory.  Their time of 12:58.81 set a new school record.  Johnson joined up with Andrew Johnson, Norman Senior and Steve Chambers.  Their winning time of 10:37.98 also set a new school record.
In other relay action, the women's Sprint Medley Relay of Meredith Walker, Lauren Morea, Diana Dozier and Casey Sharpe place 5th in 2:05.89.  Sara Behmerwohld place 2nd in the 400 hurdles running 68.63 and she also finished 3rd int eh 100 hurdles in 16.42.  Lil Brandler won the pole vault with a jump of  10'6.  Jenny Ratzel finished 5th overall in the 1500m crossing the line in 5:15.34.   For the men, Ryan Edge finished 3rd in the high jump with a leap of 6-0, while Andrew Fischer was 4th in the Javelin (150-3).
