Dickinson Valentine Meet

The Track & Field teams travel up north to the Dickinson Valentine Meet.  In the meet the women placed 5th of 13 schools while the men were 4th of 12 schools.

Women's Recap:

Freshmen Stacy Doornbos led the way winning the 55m dash (7.63), and the Long Jump (17'2.75"), she also placed 2nd in the Triple Jump with a leap of 34'6.75"  Her performance earned her Athlete-Of-The-Meet honors.
Sophomore Liz Brandler placed 2nd in the Pole Vault clearing 10' and placed 5th in the Triple Jump (32'6.75").  Senior March Christopher placed secord in the 1,000m running 3:17.07 (just .07 off the winning performance).  She also placed 6th in the Mile crossing the line in 5:35.41.  Freshmen Elizabeth Webb placed 4th in the 800m running 2:28.96.  While classmate Caroline Davis finished 3rd in the 400m.

Men's Recap:

Freshmen Drew Martin finished 1st in the Pole Vault clearing 14'0.  The 4x400m Relay also won running 3:36.37.  The team was made up of Sophomore's Will Holliday, Wilson Robinson, Marshall French and Freshmen Chip McCoy.  French and Holliday also tied each other for 3rd place in the open 400m running 53.20 each.  Freshmen Michael Welsh place 4th in the 5,000m running 16:22.1, while classmate Alex Jackson crossed the line 5th in the Mile running 4:37.47.
