The Dick Miller
Cross Country Course

The newly renovated and upgraded cross country course was named after long time W&L coach, educator and administrator Coach Dick Miller.  The new course which was completed in the fall of 2004 takes full advantage of the beautiful natural surrounding of the W&L campus and Lexington Virginia. 

 

The Course Features:

 

-Common Start and Finish Lines (Men’s 8K & Women’s 5K and 6K) on an elevated field with views of the surround mountains

-Maintained Trails of Varing Natural Surfaces (grass, mulch, dirt, and crushed stone)

-Passes Along the Maury River And The Historic Liberty Hall Ruin’s

 

The first races held on the new course were the Generals Cross Country Invitational and the Washington and Lee Invitational in the fall of 2004.
